The Little Red Hen finds some grain. She then proceeds to ask her friends for help planting it, harvesting it, and then making bread out of it. None of her friends will help her do any of the work. In the end all of her friends want to reap the benefits of her work and want to eat the bread. In the end the Little Red Hen who did all of the work is the only person who benefits and gets to eat the bread.

Two Tickets to Freedom
The story begins in 1848 when Ellen Craft, a bright skinned young slave, disguises herself in men’s clothing and walks into the train station in Georgia to purchase two tickets, one for herself and the other for her husband. Ellen posed as a white Southern planter, and her husband, William as her slave. This is how their dangerous journey begins and takes them to England and eventually back to Georgia. They have to make tough decisions fighting for a better life.
